FNNDSC Wellness Club
Last year, four members of FNNDSC including Filiz Yetisir and Ai Wern Chung formed a 'virtual exercise club' to motivate each other to move more. They logged in how many minutes of exercise they did each week in a google doc and had a chat group to interact with each other on a weekly basis. They logged in 25140 minutes in total last year, with a weekly group average of 483 minutes. The winner was Ai with an average of 209 minutes/week, and Filiz followed with 199 minutes/week. The group's favorite activities were walking (184 minutes/week), running (104 minutes/week), biking (64 minutes/week), and yoga (63 minutes/week).
Given last year's success, they intend to continue with the virtual exercise club this year and logged in 687 minutes with 3 members in the first week of January, very strong start to the year! They would like to extend an invitation to everyone and are eager to welcome new members! They are also thinking about having in person club meetings in the office or elsewhere from time to time to celebrate all the exercise in 2022, COVID permitting.
